Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, Clinical Director
Mark graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1996 where he gained an interest in small animal orthopaedics and dedicated the majority of his final year to this study. Following a year in first opinion practice Mark moved to Beechwood Veterinary Hospital. In 2001 Mark gained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery achieving one of the highest marks of the year. He developed a busy referral case load both from within the practice and from practices throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Mark has particular interest in the management of fractures and orthopaedic conditions in young dogs. He gained the RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery in 2015.


Dr Aina Yndestad-Mace MRCVS
Aina, originally from Norway, graduated with the highest distinction from the Veterinary University of Budapest in November 2005. Shortly after she moved to South Yorkshire with her cat Mitzi to work for a group of small animal practices in Sheffield and Rotherham. Aina was awarded their vet of the year in her second year, after taking charge of her branch surgery.
In July 2014 Aina joined Beechwood Veterinary. Aina enjoys all aspects of general small animal practice, and besides ophthalmology has interests in anaesthesia, all forms of surgery and clinical nutrition. Outside of work Aina and her Yorkshire husband like to go for walks with their rescue dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called George Bush.
